In this post:

  • Sony revealed a list of 10 games that will leave its PS Plus subscription service in the coming weeks.
  • LittleBigPlanet 3 will leave the console-exclusive bracket as part of the 10 games dropped.
  • A list of September PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games was also revealed.

Sony announced that 10 games would soon be leaving its console-exclusive service. The games, including LittleBigPlanet 3, a console-exclusive game, will leave the PS Plus subscription service in the next few weeks. The games featuring in the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for September were also revealed.

In a recent reveal, Sony said 10 games would leave the PS Plus service. The list includes LittleBigPlanet 3, a console-exclusive game that will be among the 10 games the gaming firm removes from its PS Plus subscription service over the next few weeks.

Sony reveals games leaving the PS Plus service

Sony announced that 10 games leaving PS Plus would be listed on the service’s Last Chance to Play tab. LittleBigPlanet 3, The Evil Within, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Gotham Knights, Dragon Quest XI S, Dragon Quest Builders 2, Dragon Quest Builders, Dragon Quest Heroes 2, Dragon Quest Heroes, and Toukiden: Kiwami are the games identified. Among these games to be removed from PlayStation’s service, LittleBigPlanet 3 stood out the most due to its status as a PlayStation-exclusive game.

LittleBigPlanet 3 was developed by Sumo Digital Ltd. and released on November 18th, 2014, as a PlayStation exclusive. Sony Interactive Entertainment published the puzzle platform game, which was only available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. LittleBigPlanet 3 is set to follow in the footsteps of the Horizon series games removed from the console-exclusive PS Plus service earlier in the year. Sony previously removed Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, the two main games in the series.

The Evil Within, a survival horror video game developed by Tango Gameworks, is also set to leave the PlayStation Plus service. The inclusion of the game came as a surprise to many players owing to its immense popularity and the timing behind its imminent exclusion. Many players questioned the decision to remove the game before the Halloween season when many people would play horror games as part of the holiday’s celebrations.

Playstation reveals PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for September

Sony also released a list of nine games available on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games for September. The games are set to become available from September 17th. The games include Far Cry 5  and Ben 10, which will be available on PS4. The list also includes The Plucky Squire, another action-adventure platform game that will exclusively release for PS5. The September games list also includes Under The Waves, Night in the Woods, Chernobylite, Wild Card Football, Space Engineers, and Space Engineers, which will be available for PS4 and PS5.

“Chernobylite, The Plucky Squire, and Road 96 I’m excited for. Don’t care much for the others, or I already own them on my PC.”
