Question 1

AI生成的表演是否被完全禁止出现在符合奥斯卡资格的影片中？

Accepted Answer

No. The rules bar AI performances from receiving acting nominations, but films using AI as a production tool can still qualify for Oscars. The restriction applies specifically to eligibility for acting and writing awards.

Question 2

是什么促使学院此时加入AI相关规则？

Accepted Answer

The rules respond to an AI-recreated version of the late Val Kilmer being developed for an independent film and ongoing controversy over AI "actress" Tilly Norwood.

The rules are for the 99th Academy Awards, which will honor movies that came out in theaters between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026. The awards show is set for March 14, 2027.
