Question 1

Le performance generate dall'IA sono completamente bandite dai film eleggibili agli Oscar?

Accepted Answer

No. The rules bar AI performances from receiving acting nominations, but films using AI as a production tool can still qualify for Oscars. The restriction applies specifically to eligibility for acting and writing awards.

Question 2

Cosa ha spinto l'Academy ad aggiungere le regole sull'IA ora?

Accepted Answer

The rules respond to an AI-recreated version of the late Val Kilmer being developed for an independent film and ongoing controversy over AI "actress" Tilly Norwood.

Question 3

Quando entreranno in vigore le nuove regole degli Oscar?

Accepted Answer

The rules are for the 99th Academy Awards, which will honor movies that came out in theaters between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026. The awards show is set for March 14, 2027.
