The government has been very vigilant in the United States with a blanket ban on initial coin offerings (ICO), however, the organization has taken up blockchain as their major area.
The chamber of digital commerce has brought to light the negative impact the United States government has had on the blockchain progress in the country complaining that the government has been shedding a negative light on the technology.
The organization has demanded a fair and positive light for the blockchain technology that would include proper statements for the technology and support in the private sector for the technology to grow in all areas including the governance.
The organization also came up with a set of recommendations that include a nationwide coordinated framework for the blockchain industry. They have demanded the government to task the regulatory bodies to come up with a unified framework within the country.
The chamber believes that the government department dedicated to blockchain regulation and strategy would be the right move on the government’s part to strategize and coordinate the efforts towards blockchain regulations in the country.
