Sweet launches basketball mini-game Sky Slam game ahead of SCOR token rollout

Sweet Games announced on May 9 the launch of Sky Slam, a fast-paced basketball mini-game, which will be available in English and Chinese. The firm said Gems earned through gameplay may later be converted to SCOR, which can be used to unlock exclusive rewards.

Sweet noted that a month prior to the debut of Ice Snake and Glove Hero, hundreds of thousands of users were already stacking millions of Gems by logging in daily, maintaining streaks, completing challenges, and referring friends. The firm said that Gems earned through gameplay may later be converted to SCOR, a forthcoming sports-themed reward token, which can be used to unlock exclusive digital and real-world experiences.

Sweet launches Sky Slam basketball-themed mini game

Sweet Games is making good on its promise to expand its growing lineup of retro-style sports-themed mini-games with the launch of Sky Slam on Friday. The firm revealed that the fast-paced basketball mini-game will be available in English and Chinese. 

The new game marked the first fully translated game in the SCOR on Sweet ecosystem. The gaming company added that the game expanded playing, competing, and earning opportunities across Sweet’s Web3 sports gaming ecosystem.

The gaming company said fans can now experience SCOR on Sweet via the Telegram mini-app, with rollout to additional platforms to come soon. Sweet Games highlighted that players who engage early gain a head start by accumulating Gems that may later convert to SCOR.

According to the firm, players can also get additional rewards for high scores, referrals, and social engagement. The company argued that SCOR on Sweet helps deliver a 360-degree fan engagement platform where skill-based play leads to real rewards.

Players of Telegram sports games earn upcoming SCOR tokens on TON

Sweet announced in early April the integration of a new SCOR reward token built on TON, starting with a Telegram-based duo of sports mini-games. The firm revealed the hockey and soccer games, Ice Snake and Glove Hero on April 8 and said they are playable via the SCOR on Sweet channel on popular messaging app Telegram. Sweet said that earned gems can be converted into the on-chain SCOR token on TON once it launches.

Sweet said the token will be supported by the SCOR Foundation and have a supply of 4 billion SCOR, with 44% dedicated to ecosystem growth through in-game incentives and other rewards. The firm also allocated another 21% to a private sale and 15% to the team and early contributors, with the rest split between launch partners, platform reserve, and foundation.

The company also operates the official NFT platforms of major U.S. hockey and soccer leagues, NHL Breakaway and MLS Quest. Mizzone noted that the launch of SCOR-powered, sports-based mini apps on Telegram extends the reach of the Sweet platform and introduces Sweet’s pro sports partners to new users.
