Question 1

Qu'est-ce que l'ERC-8004 ?

Accepted Answer

ERC-8004 is an Ethereum standard that creates three onchain registries (identity, reputation, and validation) allowing autonomous AI agents to discover each other, build trust records, and verify claimed actions without relying on centralized intermediaries.

It was proposed in August 2025 by contributors from MetaMask, the Ethereum Foundation, Google, and Coinbase.

Question 2

En quoi ACTA diffère-t-il de ERC-8004 ?

Accepted Answer

ERC-8004 establishes a public trust infrastructure for AI agents, while ACTA adds a privacy layer on top that lets agents prove they comply with rules without revealing their identity, relationships, or strategies.

Question 3

Pourquoi les agents IA sur blockchain ont-ils besoin de normes de confiance ?

Accepted Answer

Without standardized identity and reputation systems, autonomous agents are difficult to discover, impossible to compare on reliability, and costly to trust with financial transactions.

ERC-8004 makes trust an explicit, queryable input so that agents with poor track records can be filtered out before they handle real value.
