Question 1

Meta 正在其数据中心测试哪些机器人？

Accepted Answer

Meta is piloting hardware from Watney Robotics, Kinova and ABB, including a Kinova Gen3 arm being evaluated for cutting power to servers, a separate machine for swapping networking cables, and a simple finger-like device that presses a power button to reboot equipment.

Question 2

这些机器人可能取代多少工作岗位？

Accepted Answer

One Meta data center worker said a working cable-swapping robot could take over as much as 80% of some people's workloads. That figure is the worker's own estimate, not a Meta projection.

Question 3

Meta 最近是否削减了数据中心的工作岗位？

Accepted Answer

Yes. Meta began laying off around 8,000 employees, roughly 10% of its staff, in May 2026, and data center workers were among those let go even as the company's AI spending climbs.
